Ross studied architectural history and architecture at St John’s College Cambridge. He has been a practising architect for nearly thirty years, designing many buildings – including several RIBA, Georgian Group and HHA award-winning projects throughout the length and breadth of the country. He specialises in classical and traditional design. Before joining Yiangou as a Director, he worked for two leading classical architectural practices and had his own firm in Bath.
Ross has appeared on television and radio, and he has regularly written and had his work illustrated in magazines.
Ross teaches at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, was a tutor at the Prince’s Institute, and has lectured on architectural subjects at other institutions. He has chaired the Gloucestershire Design Review Panel and was elected to the International College of Traditional Practitioners at INTBAU in 2010. He continues to sit as a trustee for local building charities, and as an award judge elsewhere.
